Useful information....
Who do I contact in a Crisis?
EMDR Suffolk is not a crisis service. While we will support you to manage risk concerns during your treatment sessions, we are not suitable for crisis situations. If you have an emergency, please contact your GP, NHS 111 Option 2, text 'SHOUT' to 85258, visit A&E if necessary, or telephone the Samaritans on 116 123.
HOW DO I MAKE PAYMENT?
Payment is taken prior to or at the end of each session via an online banking service by debit or credit card. An invoice will be provided via email. Please ask about booking multiple sessions in advance for a discount.
Full payment is required for non-attended appointments or appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours notice.
CAN I SEE YOU IN PERSON?
YES..
EMDR Suffolk is currently offering in person face-to-face appointments. However, this is limited at the current time. We are seeking to increase availability in the very near future within the Suffolk area.

We also offer online face to face appointments via MS Teams or ZOOM. Research has suggested the effectiveness of therapy online can be as successful, if not more successful, than in person face to face on occasion.
HOW LONG DOES EACH THERAPY SESSION TAKE?
The first appointment may last 60 minutes. Following treatment appointments will last approx. 50 minutes unless otherwise stated.
HOW WILL MY INFORMATION BE STORED?

All information and personal data is kept safe and secure in accordance with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) legislation.

For more information please see our 'Privacy' section.
WILL THE INFORMATION I DISCUSS WITH YOU BE KEPT CONFIDENTIAL?

Everything that is discussed within treatment will be treated as confidential within the service. However, we have a statuary obligation to breech confidentiality in circumstances whereby we believe that the client is in danger to themselves or to others, or if we believe someone else is at risk of danger. In these situations, we will contact the relevant safeguarding or emergency services, and if appropriate will inform you of this.

At our assessment appointment we will explain and ask you to sign a confidentiality and information sharing agreement that details who you give permission for us to share information with. We can amend this if necessary, during the course of therapy.
